Laws of Motion (Newton’s Laws)

First Law (Inertia):

  • An object will stay at rest or move at constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force.

Second Law (Force and Acceleration):

  • The force acting on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration (F=maF = maF=ma).

Third Law (Action and Reaction):

  • For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
