In computing algorithms, entanglement is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>implicit, but nowhere is it more dramatically useful than in protocols for com-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>munication, where quantum correlations are exploited for security of commu-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>nication as well as for coding e\ufb03ciency. This quantum correlation shared by<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>spatially separated parties is used as a communication resource. The term<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ebit has been coined to quantify this resource.
