This is the large background photo appearing at the top of your timeline (refer to\u00a0Figure 1-1) and the first thing people will see when landing on your brand\u2019s page. Your cover photo is more than just a picture; it\u2019s a representation of your brand. You have a wonderful opportunity\u00a0to illustrate your brand, product, or service in any way you want \u2014 and you want to make a lasting impression. Many top brands, such as Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s, Ford, and Coca-Cola, take great care in designing their cover photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"c29-para-0033\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/learning.oreilly.com\/api\/v2\/epubs\/urn:orm:book:9781119931959\/files\/images\/tip.png\" alt=\"Tip\" width=\"60\" height=\"78\">&nbsp;Before you get started, take time to research other brands on Facebook to see how they\u2019re using their timelines. This may give you some good ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"c29-para-0034\">To add a cover photo to your timeline, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"c29-list-0006\">\n<li><strong>Select the camera icon located on the bottom right of the image and click to change your cover photo.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>In the pop-up menu that appears, choose whether you want to upload a new photo or a photo from an existing photo album.<\/strong><ul><li><strong>Choose from Photos:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you want to use a photo that already resides in your page\u2019s photo albums, choose this option.<\/li><li><strong>Choose from Videos:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you want to use a video that already resides in your page\u2019s video albums, choose this option. You don\u2019t have to remove the current photo to change it.
